About myself

Ahmet

Hi! My name is Ahmet. I’m a computer programmer, working as a researcher at AMD Research. Prior to that I wrote software stuff and did all kinds of technical things for “cloud” at Oracle and Amazon Web Services.

Born in Ankara, Türkiye; and now living with my wonderful family in Seattle. I completed my Ph.D. in computer science in Utah State University, and actively worked with multiple professors and research groups for developing cyberinfrastructure solutions and parallel hydrology algorithms. My research was funded by numerous institutions including Utah Water Research Laboratory, and National Science Foundation.

I conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) on developing high-performance parallel programs for GIS and hydrology algorithms. Authored more than 10 papers in book chapters, scientific journals and conference proceedings. Check them out at my Google scholar page.
